D. M. Gremlin Studios in Long Beach, CA offers PMCD mastering services for full albums, EPs, single tracks, and demos. Mastering work is done by a professional engineer with 15 years experience, label credits, and voting membership in The Recording Academy (The Grammys).
Come to the studio, be present for the session and be certain that your input is being taken into account in the final sound of your album.
Fully-digital, multi-stage mastering optimizes the musicality as well as the technical specifications of your recordings.
There are no "finalizers" or all-in-one mastering "presets" here; all mastering sessions utilize a series of fine compressors, equalizers, and limiters, adjusted individually for the needs of each song.
After the session, listen to the master in your own setting, and approve the final album before the replication master is burned.
Once approved, all masters are run through a battery of q-check error tests to guarantee compliance with PMCD specifications,
the format required by glass-master replication plants. Short-run duplicators may not require PMCD masters (or any masters!); however
errors not audible to the human ear can still result in clicks or pops in replication.
All masters are provided on archive-quality gold CD's, for highest accuracy in burning, and longest lifespan of the disc.

Pricing for PMCD digital mastering is $50 per hour.
For smaller projects, mastering of a single track is $50, two songs is $75, and three songs is $100.
Above three songs, the hourly rate applies. As a general guideline, album mastering sessions will usually run
between 6-10 hours (including project setup, file imports/exports and slow-speed burning of the PMCD master), depending upon the number of songs/running time of the album.
Analog-digital mastering is also available on a project by project basis. Please inquire for details.
