D. M. Gremlin Studios in Long Beach, CA offers PMCD mastering services for full albums, EPs, single tracks, and demos. Mastering is also available for speech recordings such as audiobooks and podcasts. Mastering work is done by a professional engineer with nearly 20 years of experience, label credits, and voting membership in The Recording Academy (The Grammys).
Come to the studio, be present for the session and be certain that your input is being taken into account in the final sound of your album.
Multi-stage analog/digital mastering optimizes the musicality as well as the technical specifications of your recordings.
There are no "finalizers" or all-in-one mastering "presets" here; all mastering sessions utilize a combination of tube analog outboard gear and high-end digital plug-ins for compression, eq, and limiting, dialed in for the needs of each track.
After the session, listen to the master in your own setting, and approve the final album before the replication master is burned.
Once approved, all masters are run through a battery of q-check error tests to guarantee compliance with PMCD specifications,
the format required by glass-master replication plants. Short-run duplicators may not require PMCD masters (or any masters!); however
errors not audible to the human ear can still result in clicks or pops in replication.
All masters are provided on archive-quality gold CD's, for highest accuracy in burning, and longest lifespan of the disc.

Pricing for PMCD mastering is $50 per hour.
For small music projects, mastering of a single song is $50, two songs is $75, and three songs is $100. Above three songs, the hourly rate applies.
As a general guideline, album mastering sessions will usually take about 7-9 hours for 7-10 songs, and 10-12 hours for 10-15 songs.
