Job Description:
Are you looking for an opportunity in which you can learn and grow as a professional in the Finance and Tax fields? Steadfast Companies is seeking a motivated, hardworking, self:driven professional to be our next Financial/Tax Analyst. This entry:level position has the potential for growth and advancement within our company.
Job Requirements:
Analyze, monitor and report various testing results (i.e. income, asset and distribution tests) for more than 80 multi:family properties owned by two REITs (real estate investment trusts). Analysis and reporting is related to maintaining REIT status for income tax purposes and is determined on a quarterly and annual basis and includes the preparation of a REIT qualification checklist. Property testing will increase as additional properties are acquired by current REITs and future REITs.
Create, maintain and update financial data of current and past real estate performance in Excel and Adobe. Performance data is based on information contained within tax returns and will be used in marketing material presented to brokers and investors of the REITs.
Preparing Certification of U.S. Residency for Tax Treaty Purposes (Form xxxx) on an annual basis to assist U.S. partners of Steadfast's hospitality division in Mexico.
Assist tax department in the preparation of partnership, C:corporation and S:corporation tax returns as needed. Opportunities are available to become involved in various transactions (i.e. property sales, property acquisitions, credit recapture, etc.) and the tax effects of such transactions.
Assist CFO with various real estate financial reporting.
Education and Work Experience:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance.
1:2 years of previous experience as an analyst, staff accountant or tax associate.
Special skills:
Strong organizational skills.
Proven ability to multi:task projects.
Strong computer skills especially with Excel.
