Senior Mechanical Engineer, Wind Turbine (Renewable Energy Firm)
Location: Orange County, California.
Salary: $90K-$100K.
Relocation: Yes, relocation assistance will be provided for highly qualified candidates.
Basic Requirements:
• Experience: Must have a minimum of 5 years of providing technical support for Wind Turbine Generators; maintaining service engineering; fleet service analysis; WTG operating condition, etc.
• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering from a four-year college or university; a minimum of seven (7) years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Higher level of technical understanding as well as various phases of field engineering.

I. Position Summary:
• Provide technical support for Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) mechanical engineering: maintenance service engineering for WTG fleet within Renergy Wind Power - Engineering Team; engineering process for WTG construction, commissioning; fleet WTG service analysis; analysis of the WTG operating condition, repair and remedy; quality control; and procurement.
• Support of development of Energy Wind Power system, in cooperation with Renergy Wind and third party.
• Communicate with customers, developers and/or their engineering company as well as Energy regarding Renergy Wind Power/Renergy engineering matters.
• Support the maintenance and construction teams concerning WTG engineering issues.
• Experienced personnel for WTG operation, maintenance and engineering are preferred.

II. Position Responsibilities & Duties:
• Find solutions and report any issues concerning the Wind Turbine Generator (WTG) mechanical operation.
• Mitigate any conflict and optimize any issues which may secure the company’s profit.
• To analyze the WTG fleet operating conditions, make a plan for countermeasures, suggest ideas based upon experience and execute after approval.
• Assist the project sites or Renergy for any technical issues in the process of Operation and Maintenance.
• To support electrical engineering for all WTGs.
• Support the Quality, Procurement, Commercial and Construction team(s) for mechanical engineering.
• Make proposals of any innovative idea(s) for WTG system, work process, document control, and recommendation /review of documents related to the wind turbine system.
• Apply reasonable countermeasure(s) or troubleshooting technique(s), including decision tree logic analysis, route cause analysis, etc., in order to troubleshoot equipment and component failures, and make corrective action recommendations.
• Cooperate, negotiate, and correspond with Renergy Wind Power/Renergy clients and/or any other 3rd parties, as directed by leadership team.
• Review, make corrections and recommendations to engineering sheets or drawings which are prepared or originated by Renergy prior to issuance to Renergy Wind Power staff and clients.
• Conduct inspections of wind turbines at sites for performance issues as required; review site condition reports for performance and design issues; issue improvement recommendations as appropriate.
• Complete necessary forms and reports regarding engineering of wind turbine as appropriate, and communicate engineering reports.
• Assist in the manufacturer’s Production Control, check their manufacturing and delivery schedule
• Ability to travel domestically up to 10% of the time if required.
• Must maintain a valid driver’s license.

• Education and/or Experience: Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering from a four-year college or university; a minimum of seven (7) years related experience and training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Higher level of technical understanding as well as various phases of field engineering.
• Computer Skills: Knowledge of database, project management, spreadsheet and word processing software, electronic mail, graphics, technical diagrams, flow charts, etc.
